Both lines aim for more aligned hair with less frizz, but they are not worked the same way. Knowing the differences prevents application mistakes and helps you recommend based on what the client is asking for.
What does each line offer?
Carbon is a smoothing treatment with molecular carbon replenishment in the fiber. It reorganizes the keratin chains and reduces volume while keeping natural movement.
Nano Liss B-Tox works with natural acid actives, hyaluronic acid, and keratin. It reduces frizz and controls volume, with a sleek or more natural finish depending on the protocol.
How does the application differ?
Carbon: after the Prep Shampoo, apply strand by strand, keeping off the scalp. The 2026 protocol calls for leaving 0.5 to 1 cm of distance.
Nano Liss: after washing 2 to 3 times with an anti-residue shampoo, apply strand by strand 1 cm from the root and comb through.
How long does each one process?
Carbon: 40 to 60 minutes per its manual, depending on the thickness and strength of the hair. The Carbon Protocol 2026 widens the range to 30 to 90 minutes based on diagnosis: less time for sensitive hair, more for resistant hair.
Nano Liss with flat iron: 30 to 60 minutes, without rinsing.
Nano Liss without flat iron: 20 to 40 minutes.
How does flat iron use differ?
With Carbon, you rinse first, blow-dry with a brush, and iron fine sections 10 to 15 times. The 2026 protocol recommends 200 °C to 230 °C, based on diagnosis. The 2026 protocol recommends 200 °C to 230 °C, based on diagnosis.
With Nano Liss and an iron, you dry 100% without rinsing and seal at 180 °C to 230 °C, in fine sections, 8 to 12 times. Then let it cool and rinse with cold water. The no-iron protocol ends with a blow-dry using a brush.
Which should you recommend to each client?
Carbon suits voluminous, very frizzy, or unruly hair that is hard to align, and it has a Home Care line to continue at home.
Nano Liss suits you when you want to choose between an ultra-sleek finish and a natural result that does not change the hair's structure, with one product.
In summary
Carbon is ironed after rinsing and has one protocol. Nano Liss is ironed before rinsing, or used with no iron at all. Decide based on the hair's volume and the finish your client wants.
