It is the step that uses the least product and the one most often rushed. In the Diamond system, the leave-in helps maintain the hydration built up in the earlier steps.
What does the Acidifying Leave-in do?
It works on sealing the cuticles and maintaining hydration. Its acidifying action helps equalize the pH of the fiber, promotes alignment and water retention, and forms a protective barrier against external damage.
How do you apply it step by step?
Wash with Electrostatic Balancing Shampoo. Apply Hydro-Nourishing Complex strand by strand, leave on for about 7 minutes, and rinse. Then, on damp hair, apply a small amount of Acidifying Leave-in to the mid-lengths and ends and finish as desired.
How much product should you use?
The manual says "small amount" without giving a measure. In practice, start with a little and increase according to length and thickness. If hair feels heavy, use less next time.
Can you use it before a dryer or flat iron?
The manual says it offers heat protection and allows you to finish as desired. It helps care for the fiber, but it does not replace the right temperature and good technique. Explore the system at Diamond.
How far does it go in the salon?
The 500 ml bottle yields approximately 80 applications, calculated on medium-length hair. For home use, Diamond Home Care includes a leave-in protector as part of its routine.
In summary
A small amount, from the mid-lengths to the ends, on damp hair. That is how Step 3 closes the Diamond system and helps preserve hydration.
