When a strand stretches too far in the middle of a service, there is little room for hesitation. Knowing the SOS protocol by heart lets you respond quickly, with amounts and times already defined.
When is the SOS protocol used?
The Golden manual recommends it for extremely elastic, brittle hair. It is the fifth of the line's protocols, and the one that pairs two products for an emergency: Nano Keratin and Stopper.
How is the mix prepared?
Mix 2 pumps (2 g) of Nano Keratin with 2 pumps (2 g) of Stopper in a non-metallic bowl. Apply directly to damp hair, mainly on the most damaged areas.
How long should it process?
Slightly elastic: 5 minutes.
Very elastic: 10 minutes.
Extremely elastic: 15 minutes.
How do you finish the service?
Rinse until all the product is out. Apply Golden Booster evenly, dry completely, and finish with a blowout.
What should you check before starting?
See how far the fiber stretches when wet and whether it returns to shape. That reading determines the processing time. If the hair is already breaking, the sensible step is to stop any chemical process and explain to the client what can be recovered.
In summary
Golden SOS combines Nano Keratin and Stopper in equal parts, targets the most damaged areas, and processes for 5 to 15 minutes depending on elasticity. It closes with Booster, drying, and a blowout.
